Nothing Like a 198 k run in a 1938 Lasalle

I was recently invited by my mate Les Francis, to join him for a run through Gippsland, an offer I could not refuse.

Travelling in comfort as the passenger, with the sound of a powerful V8 just burbling in the background.

We stopped off for a quick look at the Old Trestle Bridge, near Noojee, then headed towards the "Tool Shed" bistro in Noojee, where we had a great lunch, just a few metres from a roaring open fire.

Checked out a few roads and hills on the way home, all of which the Lasalle handled perfectly in top gear.

After a mandatory visit to the Alpine Trout Farm for Les to pick up some Smoked Trout, the Lasalle was pointed homewards, via Yarra Junction.

Very nice way to spend a winter afternoon, but mind you Les, a heater would be better next time.

Below are a few pictures from a great outing, thanks Les.
