Meeting up at the outward bound service center at the foot of the West Gate Bridge, I spent about 30 minutes getting dirty and greasy, but solving a problem which I will cover in the next posting.
We set off for Point Cook for a tour of the RAAF Air Museum , which covers the history of military flying in Australia.
On arrival at the museum we were briefed by one of the volunteers and then checked out the several hangers of historic combat aircraft and displays. I was surprised to see how big the Mirage and F111 jets were in real life.
We then made our way to the historic Point Cook Homestead for lunch and a tour of the grounds
Don't know if the regulars were happy to receive visitors on a lazy Sunday afternoon
For those who love rusty old Oz farm implements, there was something for them also
And oh yes, the cars. Below are some of the cars that attended the event
Thanks to all who organized today's outing, much appreciated.
