RARE VINTAGE CLASSIC AUTOMOBILE SALVAGE YARD. INVENTORY INCLUDES CARS AND PARTS

Several years ago we inherited our grandfather's vintage auto salvage yard. He purchased an existing auto salvage and new parts business in 1946, closing the doors in 1953 to return to farming. The yard sat frozen in time for 50 years with our grandfather adding cars and parts from auctions, barn sales, etc. for decades until his death a few years ago.
The collection includes over 200 cars and trucks along with hundreds of thousands of parts including new old stock. There are two Cords included in the collection. We have original communication between our grandfather and the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Company regarding one of the Cords. There is also an aluminum body Lincoln, a 1924 Rollin and a Maxwell. Grandpa favored Fords, so there is an emphasis on Ford parts, especially 1930's and 40's.
As a family we had hoped to organize and identify the cars and parts and begin looking for a market for them. Miraculously we were able to obtain titles on more than 75% of the cars and trucks. The project has incredible money making potential because it is such an enormous collection.
The collection requires someone with the time and resources to be able to handle such a large number of items. Our family has decided it is just too much for us.
A sampling of photos are posted with this ad. We are not listing all of the items here because it would simply be impossible. Instead we have posted a series of videos on YouTube that visually record what we are selling (links to these videos can be found at the end of this ad). The buyer will be guaranteed to receive all vintage vehicles, parts, vintage tractors and farm equipment that can be seen in the video. Some items are stored in two large land and sea containers. These containers are included in the auction. One container has been sorted. The other container has not been sorted. The unsorted container has many engine blocks and transmission type items in it as well as a substantial amount of unsorted small parts. There is much more that cannot be seen in the photos and video - past the first layer, but all is similar product and is included in the collection.

The cars and trucks in the collection include (but are not limited to) the following makes:

Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Continental DeVaux, Cord, DeSoto, Dodge Bros., Federal, Ford, GMC, Hudson, International, Kaiser, Lincoln, Maxwell, Mercury, Nash, Oldsmobile, Packard, Plymouth, Pontiac, Rollin and Studebaker.
Most of the vehicles have engines, however many do not. There are also many engines independent of vehicles.

An initial attempt was made to photograph and inventory the parts. Quickly we realized that the scope was beyond us. A few of these inventoried parts are included in the videos, but represent only the smallest fraction of the total number of parts in the collection.
The auction also includes a lease for up to 2 years of 7 acres of land and the buildings in which the collection is located. This lease will be for the purpose of relocating the collection or processes related to the salvage yard only. The lease will include a release of liability for the seller.
